SUBMISSIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED AS MK TAKES MATERNITY LEAVE.
THEY WILL REOPEN APRIL 1.
We welcome submissions from Every Mom, not just “writers”. Our audience loves to read down-to-earth, honest, and encouraging words. Our goal is to let parents know they are not alone, in celebrations, struggles, and laughter. We want to build a community that honestly embraces families exactly as they are.
Content: Our readers expect honesty and vulnerability from our writers. Heartfelt essays or humor that’s squeaky clean and witty do best. Mom Babble will not publish political commentary, rants, judgment, or crude humor.
Length: Non-humor pieces should typically max out around 1000 words, and humor between 500-750.
Proofreading: If accepted, your submission will be reviewed for grammar, syntax, formatting, and any other proofreading needs. Minor changes that do not affect content/intent will be made to ensure that your submission looks its best when published.
Publication rights: Mom Babble only publishes your copyrighted material with your permission. You can, at any time before publishing and for any reason, withdraw your submission from consideration, even after acceptance (see above for the terms that apply to edits). Once a piece has been published by Mom Babble, we ask that you wait at least two (2) calendar weeks before submitting elsewhere. After two (2) calendar weeks, you have republication rights to any version that Mom Babble publishes, including edits.
